Notes From the Artist
Only 35,000 copies were released of this EP, the front half of which is comprised of unreleased tracks from the Beautiful Midnight demo sessions. The last three songs on the disc were recorded and mixed in a few short hours at the Warehouse in Vancouver, during which the studio elevator offered up some opportune sounds (listen to the middle of Life Beyond The Minimum Safe Distance). It was also the first time that I ever hung microphones out of windows and recorded ambient street noise while tracking guitar, something that I have done repeatedly since.– Matthew Good ([1])
